Question: How to Change the Font Color of the Header in Wordpress Theme Barclays?

I just love the Barclays template at WordPress. I have just started using it.   I was wondering where I would find the colour of the font in the header, and how I might match the underline in hyperlinks with it.

Answer:

Jan,

You want to open the file called style.css, that’s the file where the text attributes are stored. Make a backup of that file because if you make an error, the whole site will crash. In that case, you’ll want a backup.

Find in that file, the following text:

#header a {

padding: 2px 16px;

color: #F5F5F5;

display: inline;

background-color: #114477;

}

Now, do you see the line that says “color: #F5F5F5;”? All you need to do is change that F5F5F5 code to the code for the the color that you want. But, you need to know which color you want, which you can get by using any one of dozens of online color tools. Just Google the phrase “html color picker.” Good luck and email me back if it doesn’t work…
